I, Ms. Meenstar, writer and songwriter, daughter of Pol. Lt. Col. Thianchai, former Deputy Superintendent of Investigation at the Provincial Police Station, and Mrs. Krongkarn, former Deputy Director of Legal and Credit at CIMB Bank,
received a call from the number 0984040403 to my mother's monthly 12Call number, 0819337857. This number has been active since 2000 (2542 BE). The call occurred at 11:52 AM. No one in my household answers calls from strangers. This number shows up on Google, and people who have received calls consistently mention it on Pantip and other Google-searchable websites.
I have instructed my mother and housekeeper to file a police report against this scammer.
The alleged offenses include:
1. Violation of privacy rights
2. Fraud resulting in financial loss
3. Accomplicehood involving two or more people.
To the parents and relatives of these scammers: Are you aware that your children or grandchildren are causing distress to people worldwide?
The method involves a woman claiming to be from a company, speaking very quickly so that people can't understand, in order to trick them into accepting an SMS message, thus defrauding them of money to your children's or grandchildren's company.
